Universal Orlando has set the 2027 dates for Universal’s Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval, and Attractions Magazine first reported that the event will run daily from 6 February to 27 March 2027. The annual celebration will again turn Universal Studios Florida into a parkwide Mardi Gras event, with cuisine inspired by Carnaval celebrations around the world and a parade built around themed floats. Universal’s own event pages have previously described Mardi Gras as a mix of parade, international food and drinks, and beads, which matches the shape of the 2027 celebration now on the calendar.
A shorter calendar than recent years
The new run trims the event compared with 2026, when Universal Orlando scheduled Mardi Gras from 7 February to 4 April. On the dates now announced for 2027, the celebration starts one day earlier but ends much earlier, effectively cutting a week from the calendar.
In practice, that gives guests fewer days to fit in the parade, the food offerings and the rest of the seasonal celebrations during a spring trip.
