Inside Universal first reported that Universal Orlando is extending Halloween Horror Nights beyond Universal Studios Florida this fall, and Universal’s own hotel offers page now reflects the same resort-wide approach with festively themed lounges, Halloween-themed specialty drinks and late-night bites at select properties.
The headline addition is the new Universal Monsters Laguna Lounge. Alongside that venue, bars across the Universal Orlando hotel portfolio will serve seasonal cocktails, while select locations will also offer late-night food. No Universal United Kingdom Resort tie-in is mentioned in the announcement.
How the hotel programme fits the event
Universal’s wording matters because it shifts Halloween Horror Nights from a park-only event to something that reaches into the hotels as well. The company is not just adding themed drinks to a few bars; it is describing lounges and lobby experiences as part of the seasonal offer. That means the resort stay is being folded into the event itself, rather than sitting alongside it as a separate convenience.
The announcement is still broad rather than granular. Universal refers to select hotels and select locations, which means it has not yet laid out a full hotel-by-hotel breakdown of where each lounge, cocktail menu or late-night food option will appear. At this stage, the only named addition is the Universal Monsters Laguna Lounge.
What is confirmed so far
For now, the confirmed picture is straightforward: Halloween Horror Nights is moving beyond Universal Studios Florida this fall and into the wider hotel estate. That gives guests more places to spend time during the season, and more chances to stay in the event atmosphere after the park closes.
What remains unconfirmed is the exact venue list. Universal has not yet published which hotels will host which lounge concepts or how the seasonal cocktails will be divided across the portfolio. Until that is made clear, the hotel extension is the main new piece, with Universal Monsters Laguna Lounge as its most obvious headline addition.
