Universal has named the first 23 companies appointed to help deliver Universal United Kingdom Resort near Bedford, and Blooloop first reported the update. Universal says on its project page that enabling works are underway, with the resort still scheduled to open in 2031.
The project is being delivered as more than a theme park. Universal United Kingdom Resort will include a theme park with several immersive lands, a 500-room hotel and a retail, dining and entertainment complex, and Universal describes it as the first Universal-branded theme park and resort destination in the UK and Europe.
Delivery team takes shape
The first batch of appointments is set out in Universal’s September 2026 vendor and supplier update, which says the resort’s supply chain is starting to widen as enabling works continue.
The first group includes Arcadis Consulting (UK) Ltd, AtkinsRéalis UK Ltd, Blumano Ltd, Bovis Construction (Europe) Ltd, Brindle & Green Ltd, Buro Happold Ltd, Galliford Try Construction Ltd, Gensler Europe Ltd, Gillespies LLP, Gleeds LLP, Mace Consult Ltd and Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure Ltd.
Also named are Mott MacDonald Ltd, Ove Arup & Partners Ltd, Oxford Archaeology Ltd, Pinsent Masons LLP, P.J. Carey Contractors Ltd, Rider Levett Bucknall UK Ltd, Ridge and Partners LLP, Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd, Wates Construction Ltd, Wilson James Ltd and Winvic Construction Ltd.
